Anne Guibert-Lassalle

face to face word by word

With a strong interest for what would be called, I suppose, "portraits", I look for the intemporal nature in every human character.

I create imaginary human figures and I produce, on commissions, real portraits reflecting, I hope, the persons and their own and
permanent spirit.

I principally work with fabrics or natural wool, but I do not contempt other materials, such as audio tape or watering pipe.
I appreciate to combine together traditional textile gestures, such as knitting, felting, dyeing or weaving.

I am obsessed with literature and philosophy, I must confess. Little parts of texts, stolen from the writers I like, or words of my own, are concealed inside my work. Sometimes you can see a little of them, sometimes not.
